This was really a fun build. I especially like how simple they made it to put the hoses together. Real easy and fun. Super clean with very little clean up. But beware! I dont know if it was just mine but I felt like parts just didnt want to stay attached. The wrists kept popping off. Legs falling apart. And it is difficult to pose with the big bazooka. Articulation kinda sucks. Definitely a kit you pose and leave alone. But i liked the decals at least. Went on clean and look good.
Picked this kit up to add to my Zeon collection. Difficulty of assembly isn’t anything out of the norm for kits from the RG line, and overall, it was an entertaining and enjoyable build. Once assembled, this really is a great looking kit. It is predominantly in red (as the suit should be), but color separation is represented by a very nice gloss red, a more matte light red, and multiple black, yellow, and grey accents throughout the kit. The downsides. While this is a more recent kit, the bulky design on top of the MS-JOINT II frame system gives the joints a very stiff feel in some places, while being fairly weak in other areas (The shoulders and hips especially). This kit can be a bit of a “hand grenade” if handled too much. Key areas I noticed to be problematic were the back of the hands, front skirting, and very small panels in the upper chest. Overall, this is a really nice looking kit, that I would recommend to anyone who tends to build, pose, and shelf a kit.
I bought this because I looked at my shelf and I needed a new Zaku. I chose Johnny Ridden Zaku because I didn't have a high mobility type Zaku. The parts were very colorful and the red really "pops". I also love the yellow spikes and the markings. I highly suggest to get a stand because this chunky guy tends to fall over. It's a space type Zaku so a stand is definitely encouraged. This kit was a blast to build with a good shelf presence, will definitely stick out from your average Zaku!
