This is a pretty fun build. There are numerous peg holes on the kit where weapons and accessories can be attached. The Lightning Gundam looks good on its own, but when you add 1 of the Lightning Back Weapon Systems, the kit really looks more full and complete. The kit can also transform into a "flight mode" of sorts by combining the Lightning Gundam and the Lightning Back Weapon System. (The one I used was the MK-2 Lightning Weapon System.) My only real issue with it is the design of the shield. Because of where it attaches on the arm, there are not a lot of pose options with it. You can put the shield on the end of the long rife barrel to act as a rifle stand, but it usually gets in the way if you try and hold the rifle with both hands.
Picked this kit up because I was really itching for the HGUC Re-Gz but unfortunately, those are sold out pretty much anywhere unless you wanna pay premium reseller prices. Initially I didn't have much in the way of expectations for this kit but in the end I was pretty surprised. Parts are nicely molded and detailed with little to no seam lines. The transformation gimmick with the Back Weapon System Mk II works well by swapping parts out and gives you a pretty solid ship. Articulation is great with the only weak point being side to side on the ankles. Color accuracy is decent and corrected with the use of a sticker sheet. A few of these, however, I feel could have been molded individually to cut down on stickers but no big complaints. To put it simply, if you want a kit that has some of the sleek body shape of the Re-Gz but with a bit of originality, I'd recommend this kit! :)
So in my honest opinion when I got home from work and seen it sitting on my desk made me happy but when I open it and look through the parts some were not attached to the runners so I had to be careful, but over all it’s 100% joy to build ^_^
