HG 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam [BEYOND GLOBAL]
Gunpla 40th Anniversary! Consolidate the technologies cultivated in the "HG Series" and create a three-dimensional "RX-78-2 Gundam" designed by Kunio Okawara!
■ We pursue "beautiful posing" and "moving performance and proportion". A number of gimmicks are provided throughout the body that allow for natural poses.
■ A design that reexamines the design of First Gundam and pursues it to the limit as "BEYOND GLOBAL".
■ Adopts forward bending and swing movable structure for the body. The neck axis is also movable back and forth.
■ We add joint to bend inward at the base of thigh part and realize posing more like human.
■ By the independent movement of the wrist, it is possible to freely move the shield that has been jointed.
■ The wrist block is movable as a separate part with a ball joint, and has a structure that can produce powerful movements such as gripping a fist.
■ The hip axis swings and moves greatly forward. In addition, the rear skirt expands greatly, allowing it to move backwards.
■ The block on the side of the chest is responsible for the movement of the part corresponding to the scapula, and is designed so that the movable axis of the shoulder is not exposed by the movement that opens outward.
■ Beam rifle × 1
■ Shield × 1
■ Beam saber × 2

I mean, be real, this kit, if you're a fan of the RX-78-2 is . . . A MUST HAVE. The re-imagining is gorgeous, the colors are a little bit different from what is normally produced with an rx-78 and just looks good. plain and simiple.
Beautiful build with all of the perks of a modern high grade kit. There's only one sticker in the whole kit and it's the eyes. All the gear goes on it which is a huge plus for me when you can have all the gear on organically. The kit doesn't come with all the the weapons and gear that the origin has but its beautiful. The colors are more muted so they look like the manga covers for gundam origin. I took that opportunity to panel in brown adding an awesome look to it. My one issue with this kit is the ankle articulation. They opted not to use a ball joint which in my experience greatly limits the poses it can do without a stand. The kit is a great build if you absolutely hate stickers and want a model of the iconic original gundam.
