- water slides
The base comes in one Color plastic with very good water-slide decals to help break up the monotony. It can get very large based on how you put it together and the sculpted detail is amazing and begging to be panel lined. Weathering is also recommended for a more used look but not mandatory.
Sturdy and didn't have any issues with pieces fitting (although the handrails on the walkway are a bit finicky. Waterslides included add a lot to the detail on it. Base color is kinda bland, looks awesome when painted, but still not bad at all on its own! Would definitely recommend
First of all, I do recommend this maintenance bay if you are looking for a display piece along the styles of this. I do enjoy mine and believe my 1/100 Gundam fits great with the scale of the maintenance bay. I have not yet installed the water slides, but I'm sure it will look even better with those applied. The weapon holders are a pretty cool addition, fitting both the Katana and the Mace of the MG Barbatos. I could not get the cannon to fit comfortably, however. Most pieces on the bay do swivel and move, however the walkway railings can be a pain to keep attached. The runners and overall plastic are a much harder type than you'd find on a Bandai kit, so just be ready for that. Pieces will be harder to snap together and you'll have to spend some more time cleaning up the pieces (I did NOT spend the time, lol). But all in all - I believe it's worth it.
Its over all pretty amazing. But it's not without its issues. The smallest fencing parts break super easy (but are easily glued) & almost every part has a huge seam line from production leaving a ton of excess flashing. At times it can be used to look like it's supposed to be there. But other spots its terrible & especially in some of the littlest areas trying to remove the flashing is so difficult. I'm still working on prepping it for paint. Perhaps I'll add to this once I've completed it.
