A little old fashioned in places like seam lines and so on, but without a doubt it has the presence to command any shelf it's on, especially with it's massive bazooka deployed! I've loved this gundam since I first saw the anime many years ago as a kid, and this kit really didn't disappoint in any way!
For an older MG this is a pretty complex and fun build. The instructions were probably the strangest I've ever come across, pre-build steps before actual steps. The boozaka is of course the centerpiece of this kit besides the shield and it has a really cool scope that can get close enough to make it look like the GP02 is looking through it. It is possible for it to hold the shield, but you gotta work it!
I built this kit almost 20 years ago, but I still remember the fun I had! Yes im a far better modeler now, but I loved this kit despite a few flaws it has. The shield is humongous, and I love that, but it is hard to hold, but it's understandable though. I love the binders. The chest vent pieces watch out that you don't lose those. I will buy another one of this kit one day. I also plan in refurbishing my old kit as I was just looking at it the other day. That's how much I love the Physalis that i still want to give it the respect it deserves all these years later!
